East Falls Bridge Documentation- Project 1
Utilizing different methodologies of surveying & documentation, we used both analog & digital skills to analyze the East Falls Bridge. We used our hand drawing skills, photography & Photoshop skills to show the Bridge in four unique perspectives that may otherwise not be visible.
Implied Perspectives- Project 2
For this project, we were asked to take a one point perspective and a two point perspective picture of the bridge. We then had to draw a certain part of the bridge that we feel would offer a new reading of the bridge. We then scanned the drawings in and had to manipulate the picture in photoshop to offer that new reading.
Photoshop Manipulation- Project 3
For this project we were asked to take 4 pictures of the East Falls bridge and manipulate them in photoshop with consideration of what we wish to analyze, expose, or hide.
Digital Collage- Project 4
For this project we were asked to draw part of the bridge, scan it in, and manipulate certain parts to try to give it a different conceptual reading.
Sketched & Shaded Object- Project 5
For this project we were asked to choose any object. We then sketched and rendered the object by drawing a plan, two elevations, a section, an axon and an axonemetric section. We then had to scan it into the computer, edit it in Photoshop and lay it out in Indesign.
Analog Drafting- Project 6
For this project, we were asked to draft the object from the previous project. We then used the same process of cleaning them up and laying them out in Indesign.
Digital Drafting- Project 7
For this assignment we were asked to use the same object and digitally draft it. We used illustrator to draft this with lineweights and construction lines.
Vector Portrait- Project 8
Using Illustrator we had to construct a self portrait. We also constructed a detail from the self portrait that will be
read at a larger scale.
read at a larger scale.
Constructs- Project 9
Using techniques of photography & Photoshop, you are asked to post-process three photographs of your current studio project model.
Infographic- Project 10
Using illustrator and indesign we were to creat an informational graphic poster of a "how to".
Barnes Foundation Documentation- Project 11
For this project we were to visit the Barnes Foundation in philadelphia and through sketches, pictures and a collage document it around a concept.
Portfolio- Project 12
For this project we were to take all of work from the course so far and create a portfolio. When creating this porftolio we had to be conscious of font choice, cover page, and table contents.
Re-Cover- Project 13
For this project we were given a list of books. We had to choose one and make a new cover for it using multiple softwares including photoshop, illustrator, and indesign. We then had to print, apply the cover, and take pictures as documentation.
Lecture Poster- Project 14
For this project we were given a list of schools in which we were to create a lecture poster for. When completing the poster we had to research the colleges previous posters and take into account things such as text used and any rules that the school follows.
Villa Dall'Ava Visitors Center- Project 15
For this project we were asked to create anything that related back to our design course. For my design course, we did a case study of a house and were asked to create a visitors center off of a concept. The two works I did for this project was a poster with a concept drawing and an interior perspective edited to show depth and scale.
